Gokarna, even before monsoon ends

.. is not the best time for a visit, but you have to go travel when you have to travel. And each time is a different view of Gokarna with different travel groups. Despite the news of heavy rains in the region and forecast rains on our dates of travel, we were there in the hope of greener pastures or in this case, bluer sea. The Saturday morning we arrived was cloudy. Chose to get a taste of local breakfast and belted some Chow Chow Bath at Purohit's restaurant. Much as the name sounds pseudo-Chinese, the mixture of Uppittu and Kesaribath feels great after a long bus ride and heavenly to be washed down with South Indian filter coffee.
That's a temple

Saw this temple on the morning we arrived. Never noticed that the dome design which I could pass off as a mosque can actually be a temple arch. Steps lead up into the temple which holds an idol.

Kudle beach at Sunset
Boys playing cricket or football on the Kudle beach is a common sight. When the tide is low in the early mornings or at sunset, the beach good for a end to end jog as well.
