Manila, malls, entertainment and all

SM Mall of Asia is one of the largest malls in Asia. Supposed to be the 3rd largest mall in the continent. It is huge, has shops and restaurants on the water front, esplanade and maybe 3 times as big as Vivocity in Singapore. I could put it as the entire under ground stretch of City Link Mall, Esplanade and Raffles city together to make up this mall, needless to say, just as confusing with repetition of chains.
One shop I will vouch for  will be Brownies Unlimited. The wide flavors of brownies at a size that is just right to enjoy its taste (1 square inch, I guess) and priced hardly 20 Pesos., gave me a run for my money.
Shopping in Philippines: The good thing about shopping in Philippines is the clothing made in-country is not to expensive, especially the branded items and the Dollar is strong. 1USD = 42 Peso when I visited, the same as Indian Rupee.

Fort Strip. Market Market is the famous mall and hangout of anyone who loves to hangout. Even on a weekday afternoon, the place was well packed with people, housed some great Filipino brands and ofcourse same American chains all over. Robinsons Mall is the chain all over South East Asia. There the same chains and yet the people make a difference.  I loved the ambiance in this mall. Filipinos love malls on weekends and why not. The food is so good, priced twice as much as India with Peso that is same as the Indian rupee.

Before you think entertainment is all about malls, Manila is famous for its Karaoke bars. Filipinos love food and music. Our taxi driver dropped us at Roxas Boulevard which is supposed to be the hub of entertainment bars. Th first one we stepped into was Executive Entertainment. Pissed with the idea, we walked out and saw only strip bars and casinos all over the stretch of Roxas Boulevard. Unfortunately, that day was rainy with Typhoon Mina in Manila. So not much walking. Again taxi ride to Mall of Asia. Shopping and Eating and Movies.
