What is special about Singapore Zoo?

Singapore zoo is the world's largest Rainforest zoo. And why? Singapore is the perfect tropical country to recreate a thick rain forest in the tropical and humid climate. All in miniature.

What are the special animals to look out for?

Pygmy Hippopotamus is a speciality of the tropical Singapore zoo. Pygmy Hippos are natives of the swamps of West Africa and seen is very few zoos in the world. Singapore zoo is one of them, other than Sea World, San Diego.

Crested Maqaques in Singapore zoo. They are Sulawesi monkeys or originals of Indonesia. I feel these black monkeys are rightly housed in Singapore zoo, not too far from home and not in a environment very different from their home.

Look out for more tropical and rainforest special animals in Singapore zoo!

What's more?
Check out the Night Safari in Singapore zoo. This is very special as you can see the wild animals walking near you, but in a very safe environment.

Btw, Happy New Year 2013!!!!
